Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
— Mother Teresa
This image is about the people we don't see. Sometimes that's because we don't look at them. But they're us. We've all struggled and we'll all struggle again. I think above all else as we move through life it's important to really see other people and to recognize their journey. It's literally the least we can do for one another, but often it has a profound impact.
You don't have to dedicate your life to charity. Sometimes just taking a moment to consider what things are like for people who seem to have hit more bumps in the road of life than you did can make your world bigger. Empathy is always the right choice. Remember we all want to be seen. Sometimes just eye contact and a smile for a stranger or an outsider can change your path for the better as well as theirs.
